Monday

During School

Breakfast Club from 8.15am to 9.00am

P1 PE – Change of footwear to plimsols – these should be in school – and they should wear their black bottoms to school

After School

2pm Club 2-3pm – Parents must have registered.

2pm-3pm Soccer Club for P3 Children for 5 Weeks 2/5 – (P3 will change into plimsols and should wear their black bottoms to school)

3pm-4pm Soccer Club for P6/7  Children for 5 Weeks 2/5 (Children should bring in appropriate gear to change into)

Tuesday

During School

Breakfast Club 8.15am-9.00am

P5/6/7 PE Come to school in suitable gear (No Unifom) P5/6/7 should also have an indoor PE gear which is kept in school i.e. White T Shirt, Blackshorts and Plimsols

**P5 will be doing camogie and hurling as part of this PE block and should bring a helmet and stick if they have one.

**P6/7 have been given a choice of camogie and hurling or PE with Miss Melville – if they have chosen hurling/camogie they should bring a helmet and stick if they have one.

P4 PE Come to school in suitable gear (No Unifom) P4 should also have an indoor PE gear which is kept in school i.e. White T Shirt, Blackshorts and Plimsols

3pm-4pm Dance Club for P4/5/6 Children for 5 Weeks 2/5 (Will change into their indoor PE gear which should be in school)

Explore PE for P2-P6 Children – owed from last year by Burns Skills School – 8 Sessions in total 2/8

Special Dates

BEFORE COMING TO SCHOOL EACH DAY;

Attendance:

If your child is feeling unwell you must follow the guidelines below.

  1. A child who is unwell should remain at home until their symptoms subside.
  2. A child who is unwell with any one of the following symptoms: consistent cough, high temperature and or loss of taste and smell must request a test from the Covid Helpline by dialling 111.
  3. If a child displays symptoms of COVID-19, they, and any members of their household within the school setting, must be sent home and advised to follow the PHA guidance.
  4. If the test is negative the child must remain at home until 48 hrs after their symptoms cease.
  5. If a child tests positivethey return to school;
  • Ten days after symptom onset
  • or in case of a positive test but asymptomatic 10 days after test
  • or if they develop symptoms after the positive test then 10 days after symptom onset
  1. Siblings of a child who tests positive must, must be kept at home and follow the advice at point 6 below.
  2. If your child is a close contact of someone else in the school they must follow one of the following pathways;
  • If they have had a positive PCR test in the previous 90 days they can continue to attend school as per normal, unless they develop symptoms
  • If they have not had a positive PCR test in the previous 90 days they must stay had home and get a PCR test – if it is negative they can return to school and they must get a second PCR test on day 8.

Children who become unwell in school with one of the three covid symptoms will be sent home.  Parents will be expected to get their child tested and follow guidance as above. We appreciate the inconvenience that this may cause but we have a duty of care to ensure the health and safety of all children and staff.

It is important that all parents follow the protocols above to ensure the remainder of their child’s class can continue to attend school.
