Week Beginning Monday 10th May 2021

Special Notices

DAILY MILE INITIATIVE CONTINUES THIS WEEK:

Please ensure your child has appropriate footwear for walking – either wear trainers to school each day or bring in a small bag to change into.  If your child’s school shoes are good for walking in then there is no need for a change.

BEFORE COMING TO SCHOOL EACH DAY;

Parents must take their child’s temperature each morning to ensure that it is

not high i.e. above 36.5 Degrees.  Each child should bring a hand sanitiser clearly marked with their name to

remain in school for their own personal use. No other belongings must be

brought in to school.

Attendance; If your child is feeling unwell you must follow the guidelines

below.

1. A child who is unwell should remain at home until their symptoms subside.

2. A child who is unwell with any one of the following symptoms: consistent cough, high

temperature and or loss of taste and smell must request a test from the Covid

Helpline by dialling 111. All siblings of the child being tested must remain at home

until the results of the sibling are known.

3. If the test is negative the child must remain at home until 48 hrs after their symptoms

cease. Siblings of the child can return immediately.

4. If a child tests positive they return to school;

• Ten days after symptom onset

• or in case of a positive test but asymptomatic 10 days after test

• or if they develop symptoms after the positive test then 10 days after

symptom onset

• Siblings do not return for ten days

Children who become unwell in school with one of the three covid symptoms

will be sent home. Parents will be expected to get their child tested and follow

guidance as above. We appreciate the inconvenience that this may cause but

we have a duty of care to ensure the health and safety of all children and staff.

It is important that all parents follow the protocols above to ensure the

remainder of their child’s class can continue to attend school.
