Santa Letter Posting:
We posted our letters to Santa in a special post box that magically appeared in our school foyer:
Santa’s Elves pay us a visit:
You may be aware that Santa’s post box mysteriously arrived in the school foyer last week. Unfortunately the school camera’s were turned off and we had no way of finding out who delivered the post box. On Friday evening, after all the children had posted their letters to Santa, Shirley turned on the cameras to see if the post box would magically disappear and if so who was responsible. YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT WE SAW WHEN WE WATCHED THE CAMERA ON PLAY BACK TODAY.
Mr Farrell also found this letter from Santa when he arrived at school this morning!
Our Virtual Christmas Story:
We are delighted to show our Virtual Christmas Story which includes every child in our school. This is a remarkable achievement in the present climate. Please enjoy!
Christmas Dinner Fun:
We all enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Dinner prepared by Caroline, Patricia, Bernie and Bernie. The Primary 7 Children helped to serve the dinner to each class and were then able to enjoy their own final primary school Christmas dinner with their friends. A great day was had by all.
Bank of Ireland Christmas Poster Competition:
Congratulations to all the winners of the Bank of Ireland Poster Competition. P1 Cassie and Alicia, P2 Caionn James and Aoife, P3 Eabha and Cora, P4 Darragh and Jamie and P5 Ben and Lucia. The posters can be seen at the BOI Keady Branch. Many thanks to the Bank of Ireland for their generous sponsorship.
Charity Giving at Christmas:
We held a bucket collection during “Wear a Christmas Jumper Week’. We are delighted to announce that a total of £500 was raised for our chosen charities of St Vincent de Paul, Children in Need and Marie Curie. This included our bucket collection proceeds for ‘odd sock day.’ Many thanks to you all for your kindness.
And finally many thanks to you all for your support for our Christmas Raffle that raised £2400 for school funds. Once again we are overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our school community. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Peaceful and Prosperous New Year.
Our Primary 6 and 7 Children made a special Christmas Card for each of the residents at Dunlarg Nursing Home in Keady. They were honoured to be asked to take part in this initiative. Super work.
